SC/BIOL 1001 3.00   Biology II - Evolution, Ecology, Biodiversity and Conservation Biology

Course Description:

A continuation of Biology I, exploring major unifying concepts and fundamental principles of biology, building on earlier concepts. Topics include mechanisms of evolution, ecology, a survey of biodiversity and conservation biology. The laboratory and lecture components must be passed independently to pass the course. Three lecture hours per week; three laboratory hours in alternate weeks. One term. Three credits. Prerequisite: SC/BIOL 1000 3.00. Course credit exclusions: SC/BIOL 1010 6.00; SC/BIOL 1410 6.00; SC/ISCI 1102 3.00.
