LE/EECS 3000 3.00   Professional Practice in Computing

Course Description:

Professional, legal and ethical issues in the development, deployment and use of computer systems; their impact on society including privacy and security, computer crime, malware, and intellectual property; professional ethics and responsibilities; guest lecturers from industry, government and university. Three lecture hours per week. One term. Three credits. Prerequisites: General Prerequisite. LE/EECS 2030 3.00 or LE/EECS 1030 3.00. Course credit exclusion: LE/SC/ENG 4000 6.00. (NOTE: The General Prerequisite is a cumulative GPA of 4.50 or better over all major EECS courses. EECS courses with the second digit "5" are not major courses.)
