HH/KINE 4620 3.00 Counselling Skills for Kinesiology and Health Science
This course explores concepts, issues and skills related to "embedded" helping/counselling from a person-centred framework. Effective professional relationships and motivational interviewing are emphasized. Supervised skills practice is included. Relevant to persons working in health care, education and community services. Two lecture hours and one tutorial hour per week. Prerequisite: HH/PSYC 1010 6.00. Course credit exclusions: None. Note: This course does not count for science credit.
