Retailing management provides an introductory study of the strategic elements of the retail industry and the retail marketing mix. The course covers key retail strategy components such as retailer type, location selection, store layout options, merchandising, retail trends, human resources, supplier co-operative promotions. The course explores the design, implementation and assessment of the retail mix.
Prerequisites: 1) For students in an Honours program, 72 credits including AP/ADMS 2200 3.00, or 2) other students, a grade of C+ or better in AP/ADMS 2200 3.00. Course credit exclusions: None.
